Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PostTo service ("Service") operated by Lindgaard.net, org. nr. 987 032 596, Solstien 42, 8445 Melbu, Norway ("PostTo", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

PostTo is a developer-focused SaaS that lets you create named endpoints to receive HTML form submissions and server-side API payloads. We route submissions to a destination email address and/or webhook, and provide spam filtering, rate limiting, CORS handling, and a submission dashboard.

We provide no form HTML. You are responsible for the forms and applications that post to your endpoints.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to do so.

3. Plans and billing

PostTo offers a Free plan and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Scale). Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page.

Free plan

The Free plan includes up to 100 emails forwarded per month. Spam, rejected, and held submissions do not count toward this limit. No credit card is required. There is no trial period — you start on the Free plan and upgrade when you need more capacity.

Paid plans

Paid plans are charged at the start of each billing period. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

If your monthly email forwarding count exceeds your plan's included quota, metered overage is charged at the rate shown on the pricing page and billed via Stripe at the end of the billing period.

Upgrades, downgrades, and cancellation

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page. On cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate partial periods.

Payment failures

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry. If payment cannot be collected, your account may be restricted to Free plan limits until payment is resolved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

collect, transmit, or store data in violation of any applicable law;
collect personal data from minors without appropriate consent;
send unsolicited commercial messages (spam);
attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls;
interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent;
use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or harmful to others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

5. Submission data and your responsibilities

You are the data controller for the personal data collected through your endpoints. Your end-users submit data to your forms; PostTo processes it on your behalf as a data processor.

You are responsible for:

having an appropriate legal basis for collecting and processing your end-users' personal data;
maintaining a privacy notice that discloses your use of PostTo;
responding to data subject access, erasure, and portability requests. PostTo provides tools to export and purge submission data to assist you.

Where PostTo processes personal data on your behalf as a processor, that processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you agree to the DPA. If you require a separately signed copy, contact [email protected].

6. AI spam filtering

PostTo includes first-party baseline spam filtering (honeypot, heuristics) on all plans at no extra cost. No submission data leaves our infrastructure for this baseline filtering.

AI-powered spam classification (using Anthropic's Claude API) is an optional, opt-in feature available on Pro, Scale, and as a paid add-on on Starter. Enabling AI classification on an endpoint requires you to acknowledge that Anthropic is a data sub-processor and that submission content will be sent to Anthropic for classification. Anthropic is listed in our sub-processor list. By enabling AI classification you consent to this data transfer.

AI classification may be unavailable due to API outages. In that case, PostTo delivers submissions via baseline filtering only — email is never blocked due to classifier downtime.

7. Email delivery

Outbound email is delivered via Lettermint, with Postmark available as a backup provider. Delivery is subject to the provider's terms and infrastructure. We cannot guarantee delivery to all email addresses — bounces and spam complaints may result in your destination address being flagged, requiring re-verification.

You must not use PostTo to send email to addresses you do not have permission to contact.

8. Webhooks

Webhook deliveries are signed with HMAC-SHA256. After a configurable number of consecutive delivery failures, a webhook is automatically disabled and you are notified. You may re-enable it from the dashboard.

9. Security

Submission content is encrypted at rest. Endpoint secrets and webhook secrets are stored encrypted. You are responsible for keeping your endpoint tokens and secret keys confidential. If a secret key is compromised, rotate it immediately from the dashboard.

Signed mode (HMAC-SHA256 request signing) is designed for server-side integrations only. Do not embed a secret key in client-side HTML or JavaScript.

10. Data retention

Submission bodies (personal data) are automatically purged after the retention period set by your plan: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Pro, and 365 days on Scale. You may also purge individual submissions or all submissions for an endpoint manually at any time. Purged data is not recoverable.

11. Intellectual property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PostTo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to your own data.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PostTo and its officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or profits — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PostTo and its officers, employees, agents, and licensors from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
